The work of the Wheelchairs for Charters Towers charity has been bolstered thanks to a donation from another generous organisation.
Our Town Foundation recently gifted a child’s wheelchair valued at around $391 to Wally and Val Cragg’s charity, which is dedicated to supplying wheelchairs free of charge to those who need them.
The charity has been running for more than five years, and has supplied dozens of wheelchairs to young and old on both a short and long term basis.
State Member for Traeger and Our Town Foundation patron Robbie Katter was pleased to meet with Mr Cragg recently to hear about his and his wife’s selfless work.
“I am very proud to be part of Our Town Foundation as patron, and as the local MP am equally proud to hear of Wally and Val’s efforts to get these crucial mobility items to those in our community who need them,” he said.
“I hope this latest donation goes far in helping them with their work,”
