NO MORE CLIMATE TAX – ARTIFICIAL COST-OF-LIVING BURDEN MUST GO: KATTER

The Brisbane Climate Tax must be scrapped before all Queenslanders are sent broke and productive businesses are shut down, Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) Leader and Member for Traeger Robbie Katter has declared.

“It’s moronic to think that cheap power, cheap Australian manufactured goods, mining projects, and even V8 utes are on the chopping block – all to chase votes in inner woke Brisbane,” the KAP Leader said.

“Our farmers are in the crosshairs too, which is already raising the cost of production and cost of food on our supermarket shelves.

“Queenslanders were sold a dud when the LNP, now supported by One Nation, and the Labor party colluded with the Greens to impose a wholly unnecessary 75 per cent emissions reduction target on Queenslanders only months ago.

“Already Queenslanders are hurting – power bills which need $1000 bribes to ‘bring down’, and food prices so high that Brisbane were forced to hire a food commissioner to save face.

“The solution is dead simple – scrap Queensland’s climate tax,” Mr Katter said.

During a landmark Cost of Living Tour with Senator Gerard Rennick, Mr Katter lambasted all of the Brisbane-based parties for abandoning their golden goose.

“While the parties with HQs in Brisbane (LNP, One Nation, Labor, Greens) do well to pander to their woke city dweller voters, they have abandoned the source of all their luxury and wealth.

“We know that Queensland produces less than half a percent of global emissions, so why they hell would we send ourselves out of business and into poverty to suck up to some Greenies – it makes no sense at all.

“The KAP are the only members who spoke and voted against the introduction of the Climate Tax in the Queensland Parliament – every other member and Party should hang their head in shame at the destruction they are causing to Queensland’s prosperity and future,” Mr Katter said.
